What a difference a century makes. This photo was taken 100 years ago, in 1906. We’re looking east from the Hollywood hills toward Hollywood Boulevard and Cahuenga Avenue, with the land only sparsely dotted with what look like farmhouses. It’s a shame we can’t see the Hollywood Hotel—it would be 3 years old here and probably stood out quite clearly.
