It’s hard to imagine that Beverly Hills was every a rural backwater with signs posted at their city limits reminding motorists that “Bridal path crossing – Saddle horses have right of way.” I wonder if they still do?
I suppose somewhere up in the hills overlooking LA there may still be pockets of rural land that look like this, but hard to imagine Sunset Blvd. looking like this at all as evidenced in this shot of 1925 Sunset and Crescent Drive in BH:
