It amazes me the care and creativity that often went into the design of gas stations in Los Angeles in the 1930s. This Art Deco extravaganza was the Specification Motor Oil System Service Station that stood on the southwest corner of Washington and 8th St, circa 1930s.

I too have orginal One stock Class “B” of 15,000 shares issed September 1930. Is this stock real? Its in my grandfather`s name. I just want to know if this stock real or not? Can annyone from Specification Motoroil System od Denver, Inc. to verified my stock and anyone else stock are real? The money our grandparents wasted to buy this stock for their future children. Curbside Classic site reports it as apparently a national chain that did not last too long with “[no records]”. I found nothing so far, but lots of stuff just evaporated in the depression. If there were any surviving assets they might have been absorbed by merger, but that’s no sure guarantee that common stockholders were left with any recourse to recover investments.
