Hollywood and Vine corner looking north from Broadway department store, circa 1949

Hollywood and Vine corner looking north from Broadway department store, circa 1949Most views of the famous corner of Hollywood and Vine are usually taken from the southeast corner in front of the Taft Building (where the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences had offices from ‘35 to ‘45). So this one, taken from the front doors of the Broadway department store and affords us an interesting circa-1949 view from a little bit south of the intersection…not to mention of that Duesenberg parked out front of the store.
