Sunset Plaza Drive on the Sunset Strip, Los Angeles, circa 1940sIn the Hollywood Blvd versus Sunset Strip Christmas decoration stakes, I think Hollywood Blvd wins, if this photo is anything to go by. It’s circa 1940s like the other ones I’ve posted this week, but one rather bare Christmas tree at the island in the middle of Sunset Plaza seems to be all they could bother with. On the plus side, that part of the Strip doesn’t look much different these days.

    Love the Sunset Plaza, so I’m very happy you put up a pic! I think in a previous life I must have hung around here as well as the Hollywood Hotel as I resonate a lot with these areas haha

    Well, Martin, at least besides the bare Christmas tree, somebody did hang up a wreath on the 2nd building from the right!! And it looks like garland or a string of lights on the far building in the back. Or are they houses? Unfortunately they didn’t make it to 2016. 🙁
