Looking south down Rodeo Drive from Santa Monica Boulevard, Beverly Hills, 1932

Looking south down Rodeo Drive from Santa Monica Boulevard, circa late 1920s/early 1930sOh my, how some things change. In this photo, we’re looking south down Rodeo Drive from Santa Monica Blvd toward the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Rodeo now has a line of palm trees down the middle, which I’ve always liked, but they do block that rather dramatic view. The hotel opened in 1928, this photo was taken in 1932.

And in March 2016

Love the old pics as I can see things as our beloved stars did so long ago.

How ’bout this great shot taken on Rodeo Drive from 1937 with the Bev Wilshire in the background. I’ll gladly take the white coupe!
